Shiptec EcoLog is a measuring system for professional navigation.
The special feature of EcoLog is its universal retrofitting capability for almost all types of ship. It records data such as the position and speed of the ship, the temperatures of components and energy consumption.
By analysing this data, potential can be identified and customised solutions developed.

We not only offer real-time information for individual ships through to the entire fleet, but also regular evaluations and analyses. System design
EcoLog has been developed as a modular system and offers interfaces to various components and bus systems. The integration of existing and new sensors is also possible. Secure, universal and cost-effective integration is possible across all areas.
Real-time data is made available in EcoLive via a secure cloud connection. System errors can thus be quickly identified and eliminated.
The system was specially developed for universal installation on passenger ships and professionally operated vessels. Regardless of whether your ship is 100 years old or a new build.
The applications of EcoLog are limitless thanks to its design: Always with the aim of increasing efficiency and thus saving resources.
What does the system cost?
EcoLog is offered as a subscription model. The subscription costs are all-inclusive: future-proof for new developments, software updates, hardware replacement in the event of a defect, secure management of users and your data. All at a low fixed price. You're not just buying hardware that doesn't work. You are buying a solution that works and is constantly improving.

How great is the savings potential?
The EcoLog measuring system is the door opener for further Shiptec assistance systems. The monthly analyses, which are carried out on the basis of the recorded data, already show the great savings potential in your ship operation. Customers report potential efficiency increases of 20 - 30%.
The EcoPilot assistance system enables a significant reduction in fuel consumption by optimising driving. In a comparative test phase, the system achieved an average savings potential of 13%. In addition, gear changes were reduced.
Can I only use the system on my diesel boat?
With EcoLog, you are not only travelling digitally, but also future-proof.
We work with state-of-the-art control bus systems and a wide variety of drive concepts. Regardless of whether diesel, steam, electricity or hydrogen moves your ships.
For example, we can reduce the number of batteries required for purely electric ships. This makes your ship lighter and a conversion economical.
What do the captains say?
We work closely with skippers throughout Europe and are familiar with various wheelhouses and sailing areas.We want to motivate skippers to improve themselves. To this end, Shiptec co-operates closely with experts in the field of user-friendliness. Safety is always our top priority. The data is not linked to an individual skipper, but is available in anonymised form.
EcoLog is installed independently of the skipper and does not require any intervention during operation.
EcoLive is an optional supplement if real-time data is not required. Our experience shows that the aim is not to "monitor" individual skippers, but to collect valuable information about system failures and (near) accidents. This data is particularly valuable for warranty claims and as proof of insurance.
EcoPilot works offline and offers the skipper simple and intuitive support.
How can I test EcoLog?
We're keen to prove that we can help you too.
For a one-off fixed price, we install EcoLog on your premises, collect data for three months, give you the opportunity to monitor your ships in real time with EcoLive and work with you to develop possible optimisation measures.
After this test phase, you can of course continue to operate without interruption.
Which assistance systems are based on the EcoLog?
With the help of the EcoLog, you can benefit from all future developments from Shiptec AG. The EcoPilot assistance system, as well as all other future systems, are based on the EcoLog.
The EcoPilot is an assistance system for ships in scheduled operation, such as scheduled vessels or ferries. The complex algorithm calculates the optimum sailing profile in real time and communicates this to the skipper.
