MS Schwyz
With new power and a new appearance
During a general renovation, the traditional MS Schwyz was given a new engine system. The original, slow-running Sulzer engines, which propelled the passenger motor vessel across Lake Lucerne for five decades, had become outdated. There are now two efficient twelve-cylinder engines from MAN on board, which allow the venerable Schwyz to reach new top speeds with 1,100 kW of power.
