Data as the basis for increased efficiency
Based on the EcoLog data, analyses and evaluations are carried out. The more data is available from a ship or an entire company, the greater the selection of possible analyses.
The world is talking about artificial intelligence (AI), and we have been involved for a long time. Our data analyses, also known as big data analysis, is a discipline of AI. Big data refers to a large and diverse data set that provides the basis for various comparative analyses between the individual data points. This allows previously unknown correlations to be revealed and previous assumptions to be quantified. Investments can thus be substantiated and justified with figures.
Timetable simulation
Creating a new timetable is a complex endeavour. A simulation of different timetables can be carried out using the data measured by the EcoLog. In this way, the required travelling speeds between the stations and the respective fuel consumption can be determined.
By simulating several variants, the optimum and most energy-efficient timetable for your ships can be determined.
Detection of fouling (shell growth)
Ship fouling has a significant influence on the fuel consumption of a ship. The EcoLog data can be used to determine the sailing efficiency of a ship. Short-term influences such as wind, current or loading can be factored out. The most economical time to clean the hull can be determined using the data.
Prediction of person frequencies
When do I need an extra ship? When do I need to use a larger ship? How many schnitzels do I need to take with me?
These questions determine the efficiency of ship operation just as much as a new engine. We use historical data to simulate how many people are waiting at the next stop.
Complex models using machine learning (AI) support us with these complex predictions.
Data for your fleet of the future
Are you planning to modernise your fleet?
When using battery technology on ships, the correct design of a ship plays an increasingly important role. It is usually no longer possible to adjust the battery capacity at a later date, which jeopardises the intended use of the ship.
With our long-term data analyses, we catch the particularly long days as well as the average use.
Our engineers will be happy to advise you on questions relating to new builds and new motorisations.
