The keel-laying ceremony for the second Naviexpress took place on 13 September 2022. The sections were manufactured in advance by Aluship Technology in Gdansk, Poland, and delivered by sea to Rotterdam, where they were transhipped and transported to Birsfelden by Rhine barge. The transport from Birsfelden to Lausanne was carried out by articulated lorry.

The Shiptec team and Aluship employees will assemble the hull over the next few months.
