Shiptec AG was commissioned by Schiffsbetrieb Walensee AG to dismantle the upper deck and support the transport professionals from Emil Egger and Käppeli with our shipbuilding know-how. We are already looking forward to our assignment on Lake Walen, where we will prepare the MS Schwyz for operation again!

The spectacular ship transport began yesterday evening at 21:00 in Zug. The ship will be transported to Lake Walen over a period of four days and three nights. The first stage led from Zug harbour through the city to Sihlbrugg. The planning of this project was extremely demanding, especially due to the considerable dimensions of the ship. The MS Schwyz is almost three times wider than the heavy transporter. The wheelhouse had to be completely dismantled for the transport.

If everything goes according to plan, the ship will arrive at the port of Weesen SG on Thursday morning.
